VF Earns Perfect Score on 2018 Corporate Equality Index for LGBTQ Efforts

November 9, 2017

VF has achieved a perfect score on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), earning the distinction as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation.

The CEI is the national benchmarking tool that assesses corporate policies and practices pertaining to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees.

“VF is continuing its journey to build one of the most inclusive work environments and companies in the world,” said Reginald Miller, VF’s Senior Director of Global Inclusion and Diversity. “This score is a testament to the inclusive culture we foster at VF and our commitment to always encourage our associates to bring their true selves to work every day.”

To receive a perfect score on the CEI, companies must have explicit non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ employees in all operations, require contractors to follow these non-discrimination protections, and disallow any philanthropic donations to non-religious organizations with written policies of discrimination.

The HRC is the United States’ largest civil rights organization working to achieve LGBTQ equality. By inspiring and engaging all Americans, HRC strives to end discrimination against LGBTQ people and realize a nation that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all.
