VF Named to Barron's Inaugural Sustainability List
VF’s Sustainability & Responsibility actions and initiatives are industry leading. That leadership has earned VF its place among Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies.
“We’re pleased that the steps we’re taking as a sustainable company are making a difference,” said Letitia Webster, Vice President, Global Corporate Sustainability. “VF continues to set industry standards for Sustainability and Responsibility and our recent ranking from Barron’s exemplifies that our sustainability goals and initiatives are making positive impacts.”
Companies selected by Barron’s were evaluated on a number of criteria including 300 performance indicators from data providers including Institutional Shareholder Services, Sustainalytics and Thomson Reuters Asset4 in five categories: shareholders, employees, customers, planet and community. The shareholders category included items like accounting policies and board structure; employees, workplace diversity and labor relations; customers, business ethics and product safety; planet, greenhouse-gas emissions; and community, human rights along the supply chain.
In 2018, VF announced its new Sustainability & Responsibility strategy – Made for Change– to guide the company’s transformation changes and create business value. Made for Change outlines the company’s aspirations for advancing environmental and social improvements across its business, portfolio of brands, global supply chain and communities worldwide.
