How would you describe your leadership style?
I strive to support the company beyond financials. I want my office to be a space where associates at all levels can come and talk to me, and I will be a fair sounding-board.
How do you support and encourage other rising female leaders?
I’m lucky to have been surrounded by strong female leaders who supported me in my career. I am paying it forward through mentorship and involvement with programs and organizations that support gender parity, such as Camber Outdoors and the Skip Yowell Future Leaders Academy where I am currently mentoring two female associates.
What inspires you to help others?
I am a proponent of helping those who help themselves. If you want it and you’re dedicated toward achieving a goal, I will support just about anyone whether that be through casual advice, mentorship or strategic networking.
What stands out about the Smartwool brand's culture?
Simply put, it’s the people, the product and the brand. I believe in it all. We have an incredible group of passionate and talented people. It’s not just a job for any one person who walks in our door - it’s a way of life.
