Gloria Schoch Appointed Director, VF Foundation & Global Impact
DENVER – January 6, 2020 – VF Corporation, a global leader in branded lifestyle apparel, footwear and accessories, today announced the appointment of Gloria Schoch to the position of Director, VF Foundation & Global Impact.
Schoch will oversee and implement the VF Foundation’s strategic vision to support non-profit organizations that drive movements of sustainable and active lifestyles, including movements that enable conservation and stewardship, education and workforce development, and the advancement of human and organizational endeavors in the context of inclusion, equity and diversity. She will also work across the organization to support alignment around how VF defines and measures global impact.
“We recently enhanced the VF Foundation with a sharper philanthropic focus aligned to our corporate purpose of making a positive impact on people and our planet; this is the perfect time to bring on someone with Gloria’s experience to advance our purpose-led agenda,” said Anita Graham, Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer and Public Affairs. “She brings a strong background that sits at the intersection of community investment strategy, environmental stewardship, and public policy and grant making, and she has successfully operated at the local, national and international level. She will play an essential role in guiding the VF Foundation and its impact on charitable organizations around the world.”
Prior to joining VF, Schoch was Director of Community Affairs for Molson Coors Brewing Company. There, she led corporate social responsibility programs, external communications and cause marketing campaigns to drive social and environmental initiatives in the areas of civic leadership, economic empowerment and water stewardship.
Earlier in her career, Schoch was Director of Public Affairs for First Data where she managed legislative and regulatory activity for First Data's business across the country. She also contributed to building First Data’s global corporate foundation. In this role, she was responsible for national and international grant making, sponsorships and employee giving and volunteerism programs.
"I am honored to join VF and to have the opportunity to lead the impactful work of the VF Foundation,” said Schoch. “I look forward to working with VF leadership and the Foundation Board of Directors to deepen the global impact we can make to protect outdoor spaces, promote the value of trade work and contribute to a world that prioritizes equity and belonging for all people. These are vital issues in today’s world, and I am eager to help advance these important efforts.”
Active in the Denver community, Schoch currently serves on the Board of Directors of SER Jobs For Progress National, The Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, The Downtown Denver Partnership and the Advisory Board of the University of Colorado School of Public Affairs.
